Again a card I sent to a patron on my mail route that I was fortunate enough to have taken a picture of before sending it.  It conveys the famous Split Rock Lighthouse near Beaver Bay, Minnesota.  I chose to use minimal colors in the card design to enhance the white of the snow on the cliff and trees.  We often put glitter on this card to bring out the beauty of the snow as well.  The lighthouse is actually a jasmine yellow, but I stayed away from that because I felt the salmon in my character’s face and the rose of the sky provided the perfect contrast to the white and grays of the snow and water.  We believe this card will be sold out by year’s end, and we will have to include it in the 2018 projected printing.
