I gave ‘Duck Xing’ to the principal of Duluth’s Summit School for a thank you note for a Christmas gift they gave me and for allowing me to use their restroom throughout the year back in 2002.  When you walk a neighborhood route, there aren’t a lot of places one can use for bathroom breaks.  I was very thankful for Summit School’s kindness to me.  That principal also would always have treats for me, and she would enjoy talking to me about future retirement to her home on a lake nearby where she watched the eagles that lived there for hours.   When I gave her Duck Xing, she told me she was going to have it framed.   They all tell me that, but I know that my cards will eventually end up lining the bottom of some bird cage somewhere.
