In the early days of drawing my main character, I placed him in a land of polar bears, caribou, and seals.  However, when I went to sell my cards to venders in northern Minnesota; I realized how certain arctic themes did not translate into nordic themes.   Minnesotans wanted moose, black bears, and canoes.   They did not want cards of seals and polar bears.  ‘Seals of Approval’, however, has been a proven good seller.  People tell us that they love sending it out to show encouragement and affirmation.  Again, this card was originally given as a thank you to a patron on my mail route for a Christmas gift.
